social commentator, vaudeville performer and actor;
born William Penn Adair "Will" Rogers on November 4, 1879 at their
Dog Iron Ranch in Indian Territory near Oologah, Oklahoma.
Will rode off into the sunset on August 15, 1935 in a plane crash at
Point Barrow, Alaska Territory.
