Michael Landon

Michael Landon - cowboy tv and movie and actor, director, producer and writer,

born Eugene Maurice Orowitz on October 31, 1936 at Queens, New York.

Landon moved off into the sunset July 1, 1991 at Malibu, California.

During a 30 year span Michael Landon starred in three popular tv shows;

Bonanza as Little Joe Cartwright (1959-1973),

Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie (1974-1983)

and as Jonathan Smith in Highway to Heaven (1984-1989).

Michael Landon also wrote and directed the auto-biographical movie

The Loneliest Runner which was nominated for two Emmys.
